A DAY AT EXPORO

As part of our Tech & Product organization, you’ll help us to build modern, beautiful, and stable web applications - either in Germany or Portugal.

You’ll work collaboratively with product managers and designers to drive the implementation and release of major features. You’ll be a champion of engineering best practices for writing stable, well-tested, and well-organized code.

You will be a part of the leading platform for digital real estate investments in Germany. Your team is organized independently and in small agile teams which in some cases are spread throughout Europe.

As an engineer of our agile teams, you’ll be an active voice in shaping our product. Exporo is constantly rolling out high-demand features and tackling ever greater challenges of scale.

THE TECH STACK

You are going to be part of an agile team of the leading platform for digital real estate investments in Germany. Your team is organized independently and in small agile teams which in some cases are spread throughout Europe.

You primarily develop central microservices for our application network. These are mostly small domain services responsible for a specific activity, for example sending emails, authentication, or managing 3rd party providers. This application is usually operated with a combination of AWS Lambda and AWS DynamoDB. In addition to the technical knowledge, you will develop a deep understanding of central services in an application network and its architecture.

You will dive deep into our business processes. Even more than we love >>beautiful code<<, we love to get our products further into the regulated market and develop them from a technical standpoint, improve them and implement them creatively.

Since we have a remote work model in place, you will be welcome in our offices in either Hamburg or Lisbon 2-3 days a quarter.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You are a Node.js professional

• You are familiar with non-relational databases

• You have solid AWS knowledge

• You understand authentication standards like JWT or OpenID

• You have a good understanding of clean code and maintainable software architectures and you enjoy improving these skills further

• An agile mindset, curiosity and motivation to create and actively co-design products are your main characteristics

• Your interest in the newest web technologies is high
